Thomas WEATHERLY to James GRAY 1800

Deed Book F1, p 121 Marlboro Co. Courthouse State of South Carolina Marlborough County Know all men by these presents that I, Thomas Weatherly of the state aforesaid and county in consideration of the sum of Sixteen pounds sterling to me in hand paid by James Gray of the state and county aforesaid have granted, barga -ined and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the said James Gray all that piece or parcel of land containing one hundred fifty acres of land more or less, the same being part of a tract of land containing four hundred of land Granted to the said Thomas Weatherly by his Excellency Thos. Pinckney Esq. Governor and commander in chief in and over the said state, the Grant bearing Date the second of June one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight. The said one hundred and fifty is laid of from the remainder having such (?) as follows: beginning at the first corner of said tract of land on a post-oak, running to a corner on a pine, from there running with a line of marked trees to a corner on a lightwood stake, on Line running with the said line to Wm. Alston's land, then to the p122 first corner on said post oak, for the compliment of one hundred and fifty acres of land, together with all and singular the rights, (?)s and (?)aments to the said primisis belonging or in any -way so insident or appertaining, to have and to hold all and singu -lar the aforesaid bargained land and primisis unto the said James Gray, his heirs and assigns forever, and do hereby bind my self my heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns to warrant and De- -fend the said primisis against myself, my heirs and assigns and against every person or persons whomsoever claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Witness my hand and seal this 25 day of March 1799 and in the twenty-third year of American Independence.
