Major Donald MacDiarmid MacLEOD (1823-1863)
Major Donald MacDiarmid MacLeod. Born in Marlboro Co., SC, studied at Univ. of SC, was a surveyor and a teacher, married, father of three, volunteered for service in the Civil War. Was mortally wounded at Gettysburg, PA. Buried at Parnassus.
