Dr. Sam J. PEARSON home-Fayetteville Ave, Bennettsville, S.C.

This is the home I grew up in. This house was built around the early part of 1900. Probably close to 1915. The address is 706 Fayetteville Ave. and is still there. It was sold out of the family just a few years ago. The lady has changed the roof a little by doing away with the chimney on the left, I think and a few other minor changes. It has ruined the look, I think. It has mahogany woodwork, and a wonderrful staircase that winds up to the second floor. There is stained glass in the door and around the skylights on the side. The front porch winds all around both sides of the front of the house. The property goes all the way back to the end of the block behind it.
