Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Ammons - 1881
AMMONS, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Ammons, was born Sept. 20th,
1849 and died Jan 3d, 1881. She joined the M.E. Church, South, while quite
young, and died a "consistent member of Hebron Church, South Marlboro"
circuit. Shortly after joining the church she professed religion, and in her
dying hour the religion which sustained her in life's battle, gave her
victory in death, for just as she was dying she clapped her hands and
exclaimed, "I see angels;" and doubtless was borne on their snowy pinions to
her Heavenly home. She has left a husband and four children to mourn their
loss; but they "sorrow not even as others who have no hope, "for they feel "
for her to die " was gain.
