Body Found In Abandoned Dillon House

Dillon, Aug 13--(Special)--Douglas Haithcock, 41, was found dead yesterday in Carolina Mills Village. The body was discovered on the floor of an empty house.

A physicians examination showed no external evidence of violence. When found, he was lying on some paper with an empty bottle nearby with a rubbing alcohol label on it.

B F Gasque investigated. No inquest is planned.

Funeral services were conducted at 4 o'clock this afternoon from the graveside in Beaver Dam Cemetery near McColl by the Rev Mr Case.

Survivors include his widow, the former Flossie Atkinson of St Paul, NC.; three brothers and three sisters.

A native of Marlboro county, he had lived here several months and worked in the mill.
