Rosanna HARRINGTON

I ROSANNA HARRINGTON of the county of Anson in the State of North Carolina do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, hereby annulling and making void all wills by me heretofore made.

Sect. 1st I desire the money ariseing from the notes and Judgements in my hands or in the hands of any other person or persons to collect for me, at the time of my death, shall be applied to the paying and discharging of my Just debts so far as may be necessary to pay the same.

Sect. 2nd I give and bequeath to my sister MRS. MARY BLAKENEY my negro man named HARRY to her, her heirs and assigns forever.

Sect. 3rd I give and bequeath to my sister ELIZABETH AULDS my female slave old MILLY and her daughter HANNAH with their future increase to her my said sister her heirs and assigns forever.

Sect. 4th I give and bequeath to my neice MRS. SARAH BOGLE my female slave NELLY with her future increase to her my said neice her heirs and assigns forever.

Sect. 5th I give and bequeath to my daughter ROSA TORY in trust for the separate use and benefit of my granddaughter HARRIET H. CHAMBERS my negro woman named AGGIE with her future increase to her the said HARRIET H. CHAMBERS her heirs and assigns forever so as not to be liable for the debts, contracts or incumbrances of her husband THOMAS CHAMBERS ESQ.

Sect. 6th I give and bequeath to my daughter ROSA A. TROY in trust for my grand-daughter MRS. ANNE C. HALL my negro girl named SALLY with her future increase to be held by the said ROSA A. TROY for the sole and separate use of the said A.C. HALL and not to be liable for the debts contracts or incumbrances of her husband WILLIAM W. HALL ESQUIRE.

Sect. 7th I give and bequeath to my daughter ROSA A. TROY in trust for the separate use and benefit of my granddaughter ROSANNA LANCE, my negro girl named JUDY daughter of OLD CUFFEE with her future increase to her the said Rosanna Lance her heirs and assigns forever so as not to be liable for the debts contracts and incumbrances of her husband JOHN G. LANCE ESQ.

Sect. 8th I give and bequeath to my son JAMES A. HARRINGTON in trust for the separate use and benefit of my granddaughter CHARLOTTE A. POWE my negro girl named HANNAH daughter of OLD CUFFEE with her future increase to her and the said CHARLOTTE A. POWE her heirs and assigns forever so as not to be liable for the debts contracts and incumbrances of her husband THOMAS POWE.

Sect. 9th I give and bequeath to my son HENRY W. HARRINGTON in trust for the separate use and benefit of my grand neice ANN ELIZABETH AULD daughter of the late HENRY W. AULD my negro girl named HARIET with her future increase to her the said Ann ELIZABETH AULD her heirs and assign forever so as not to be liable for the debts contracts and incumbrances of any husband she may marry.

Sect. 10th I give and bequeath to my son HENRY W. HARRINGTON in trust for the use of my grand nieces DELILAH and SARAH AULD daughters of the late HENRY W. AULD my female slave HANNAH and her daughter EASTER and their future increase to be held by them as tenants in common and not divided until the marriage or arrival of age of one of the said grand nieces and then at that time the said slaves to be equally divided with their increase between the said DELILAH and SARAH AULD to them their heirs and assigns, so that each of the said grand nieces shall hold their separate share to her Sole use and benefit and not to liable to the debts contracts or incumbrances of any husband that either of my said nieces may intermarry with.

Sect. 11th I give and bequeath my house hold and kitchen furniture to be equally divided between my sister ELIZABETH

AULD and my daughter HARRIET H. STRONG.

Sect. 12th I give bequeath and devise to my children ROSA A. TROY, JAMES A. HARRINGTON, HENRY W. HARRINGTON, HARRIET H. STRONG and CAROLINE H. CHAMBERS all the residue of my Estate both real and personal to be equally divided among them Share and Share alike, the share of the Said CAROLINE H. CHAMBERS to be for her sole and separate use and not liable to be the debts, contracts or incumbrances of her husband OTHO CHAMBERS ESQ., and the use and benefit of her heirs and assigns forever, and the said other four children to hold their shares to them their heirs and assigns forever.

Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my two sons JAMES A. HARRINGTON and HENRY W. HARRINGTON Executors to this my last Will and Testament.
