In the name of God Amen I Thomas Ouick of Marobrouqh District, in the State Of South Carolina considerinq the uncertainty of this moral life and beinq of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be the almiqhtv God for the same do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form followin that is to say, First I will all my just debts that I may owe at the time of mv death may be fully paid and discharqed. I leave while my wife Catherine Ouick the use of all mv estate real and personal durinq the term of her natural life. I qive and beaueath unto my son Thomas Ouick Jr. at the death of my lovinq wife, one half of a track of land lvinq below Crooked Creek, beinq my Dart of a track owned jointly by Aauilla Ouick and myself containinq about 100 acres and also about 100 acres of track qrantee to myself for nintv-nine acres beinq all the said track lvinq on the north west side of the Dublic road leadinq by Briqhts Mill & Duncan McLaurins. also a neqro man named Dick with a set of Blacksmiths tools, also one half of the stock of cattle at John Briqmans, to him and his heirs forever. I qive and beaueath unto my son James auick at the death of my beloved wife all those two tracks known by the Goodson and Perquosen track adjoininq Beni Williams and William C. Nermon suppose to contain three hundred acres. Also two neqro slaves Amelia and her son Moses with the increase of Amelia. One bed and furniture and one half of the stock of cattle at my dauqhter Polly Diqqers to him and his heirs forever. I lend unto my dauqhter Rachel Grooms at the death of my lovinq wife one half track of land lvinq above Georqe Ouicks Sr.beinq the uDDer Dart of the track Supossed to contain two hundred and fifty acres four cows and calves and one bed and furniture durinq her natural life and at her death I qive and beaueath the same to her children to be equally divided amonq them. I lend unto mv dauqhter Catherine Rolo durinq her natural life after the death of my lovinq wife, one half a track of land situate above Georqe Ouick Sr. supossed to contain two hundred and fifty acres beinq the lower half. Also one neqro woman named Nan know by deed river Nan with her future increases one bed and furniture and at her death, I qive and bequeath to her children bearing the name of Rolo by her present husband, to be eaually divided amonq them. I lend unto mv dauqhter Jane Bullard, at the death of my lovinq wife, a track of land situate below Crooked Cree and below the biq branch that runs by Briqman's place adjoininq lands of Thomas Huchabe, Younqer Neuton and down to Silas Hupper's line to the biq branch. also one neqro woman named Fersbv with her increase, and one half of the stock of cattle at John Briqmans and at her death I qive and beaueath the same to her children to be divided amonq them. I qive and bequeath to mv dauqhter Susannah Quick at the death of my beloved wife one fifth part of the land I now lived called the home place supposed to contain upwards to six hundred acres qranted to Joseph Johnson and also neqro slave and one neqro man named Allen. and one neqro woman named Sally with the increase of Sally. one bed and furniture and one fifth of my kitchen furniture of every description except the beds and furniture other wise disposed of and one sixth part of all my stock of horses, cattle, hoqs and sheep, poultry plantation tools, farminq utensials of every description at the home place except four cows and calves lent to mv dauqhter Rachel Grooms and her heirs forever. I qive and bequeath to mv dauqhter Lousia Ouick at the death of my lovinq wife, one fifth part of the land where I now live supposed to contain upwards to six hundred acres and also one neqro woman named Svlvia and her three children Janie, Amalia and Minta. with their future increase One bed and furniture and one fifth of mv kitchen furniture of every description except the beds and furniture other wise disposed of. and one sixth part of all mv stock of horses, cattle, hoqs and sheep, poultry and plantation tools, farmina utensials of every description at the home place, except four cows and calves lent to my dauqhter Rachel Grooms and her heirs forever. I qive and bequeath to mv qrandson at the death of mv lovinq wife, one fifth part of the land where I now live called the home place supposed to contain upwards to six hundred acres qranted to Joseph Johnson, also two neqro boys one named Averst and one other boy named Peter. One bed and furniture and one fifth of m¥ kitchen furniture of every description, except the beds other wise disposed and one sixth part of all my stock of horses, cattle, hoqs, sheep, poultry, plantation tools, and farminq utensicals of every description at~ the home place, except four cows and calves lent to my dauqhter Rachel Grooms and her heirs forever. I qive and bequeath unto mv qranddauqhter Jane Quick at the death of my lovinq wife. one fifth of the home place where I now live qranted to Joseph Johnson supposed to contain upwards of six hundred acres, also two neqro one named old Nancy the other her daughter know by the name of vounq Nancy, with their future increase. I qive and beauesth to mv dauqhter Temperance Brieqeman at the death of beloved wife one half of the track of land situated Crooked and the liqhtwood Knot Creek supposed to contain two hundred and fifty beinq one half of the lands I purchased of Aauilla Ouick & that part 1yinq on crooked creek. also two neqro slaves one named Pat and the other named Rose with their increase. and the stock of cattle at Briqmans to her and her heirs forever. I qive and beaueath unto my qrandson Drury Skipper at the death of my lovinq wife all mv lands on the lower side of Crooked creek and on the east side of Thomas Ouick Jr. and above the biq branch on both sides of the public leadinq by Briqhts Mill and Duncan McLaucin exceDt the lot laid off for the Meetinq House Also two neqro boys named Bill & Jim, one bed and furniture, and one sixth part of all my stock horses, cattle, hoqs, sheep, Doultrv, plantation tools and farminq utencials of every description at the home place except two cows and calves lent to my dauqhter Grooms , to her and her heirs forever. I qive and beaueath to my dauqhter Patsy Driqqers one half of my stock of cattle at her house to her and her heirs forever. and the sum of two hundred dollars to paid to her by my Executors when my will shall be proven and my executor shall have been qualified, provided my said dauqhter shall be livinq at the time of my death but not otherwise. I qive and becueath unto my qrandchildren named Sy11a Ouick, Alice Ouick and Anquish Ouick two hundred dollars to be paid to them by my executors when they shall arrive at lawful aqe or marry in eaual portion to them and their heirs forever. I qive and beaueath to mv qrandchildren Arthur Skipper and Nancy Skipper one half a track of land situated in the fork of crooked creek and liqhtwood knot creeks that half lying on liqhtwood Knot beinq a part of land purchased from Aauilla Ouick deceased supposed to contain two hundred and fifty acres to be divided between them share and share alike at the death o my lovinq wife or when they shall arrive at lawful aqe or marry to them and their heirs forever. Page 4 And Lastly I do here by nominate and appoint my loving sons Thomas Ouick Jr. and James Ouick to be executors to this my last will and testament vesting in them full power and authority to do all the thinqs needful and necessary and to carry the same into full and comlete effect: In witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed mv seal the thirteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eiqht hundred and nineteen and of the United States of America Independence the forty third.
