According to the Roots Web site, there is a town or community by the name of Edinburgh in Richland County, South Carolina. We (us cousins) have a locket with two very old photos (guessing abt 1850) and we are trying to figure out which family they belong to. On the back of one is the following imprint or stamp:  Edinburgh,  103 & 125,  Princes,  Street.   Do you know if your Edinburgh had a street by the name of Princes?  14 April 2004 Sandra Farmer
Edwards 1. We need help. My wifes family really gets lost from the time they left Richland. My wife's father was Benjamin Freddie edwards born in Alva Florida 1933-died in Lee county Florida 2014 married Belta Yvonne edwards 1940-.
2. His father was Benjamin Elias Samuel edwards born in Alva Florida 1911- died in alva Florida 1946 married Mary Lucille ard born 1912-1996.
3. His father was owen Hampton edwards Born in key west Florida 1876-died 1951 Alva florida married to first marriage Rosa Ella Clinton (Flynn was her first marriage). She was born in Georgia?1876- died in alva florida 1941. No one knows much about her but I was told that she was unmarried (widowed?) when they met and had a infant son Curtis ledward flynn. She had been helping out at the boarding house where my grandpa owen owned? And they got together. They had several other children (see photo).
4. Their son was Elias e(Edward?) edwards born 1852 in Richland South Carolina died 1918 alva florida. He married Dora A. Elizabeth Daniels born 1858 (in Georgia?) died 1930 alva florida. We don't know much about his life before alva except that he met Dora and her family in saint augustine on his way down to alva(I think when Indians were attavking everyone gathered there). He apparently left South Carolina in the middle of the night as a teenager. He seems to have been the oldest boy. His mom, younger brother peachmond(don't know any other part on his name but that is his legal name) and younger baby sister (izzy?) didn't leave. His father died just before in the civil war that apparently had come and affected their community and home. He apparently never saw his family (mom and siblings) again. Maybe he left with another relative we don't know? We don't know why he left. His neighbors in South Carolina were possibly the hendersons. Elias left Richland as a teenager right after the war and we donít know why.
5. We know that Peachmond showed up with a sarah walker on a 1870 census. So we need help.
6. His father was owen edwards born 1830 in Richland South Carolina married Sarah Elizabeth rush 1834-1912.

He signed up 2 or 3 times to serve(got discharged first from malaria, resigned and was discharged because pow, resigned and was Kia.)before war he was a overseer of a plantation. 8. His father was Samuel edwards born 1790 in Robeson North Carolina. Died 1850 not sure where. Do not know who his mother was. He married Mary barfield born 1800 died1880.
