• Congaree Bluffs Heritage Preserve

  This Heritage Trust Preserve contains some steep, undisturbed bluffs overlooking the Congaree River plain. Many species of trees, shrubs, and vines can be seen here. The preserve has significant stands of American beech, oak-hickory, and bottomland hardwood forest. Several nice hiking trails wander through the woods. For a map of the preserve, Click here.

• Low Falls Landing

  This boat landing on the northwestern end of Lake Marion is also listed as a wildlife viewing area. Click here to see a nice picture of it.

• Stump Hole Landing

  This is a popular boat landing near Elloree, SC, with some good views of Lake Marion.
