Although Dillon County was not created until 1910, the biographies listed below
are for individuals who were either born in, or who were at some time citizens of, that part of old
Upper Marion County that later became Dillon County.
In writing these biographies I made every effort to find and extract data from
primary sources. My goal is to as accurate as possible. If you spot any errors,
or if you can provide additional information or photos, please let me know. As
