GETTING THERE

There are a multitude of web pages online to help you plan your trip. Listed below are but a few.

Stop in any of the State Tourism Welcome Centers to pick up a South Carolina state road map and brochures on sites of interest in the area. There's a South Carolina Welcome Center just a few miles from Dillon at Hamer (just over the border from North Carolina). You can check their website at Hamer Welcome Center (link no longer works) for hours.

ACCOMMODATIONS

There are plenty of motels to choose from in the area. Most of the familiar chains are represented right at I-95 Exit 193 (SC 9, SC 57, Dillon, Little Rock):
Comfort Inn
Days Inn
EconoLodge
Hampton Inn
Holiday Inn Express
Howard Johnson
Travelodge

If you want to pamper yourself, there are several B&Bs available nearby. Check at Pee Dee Country Bed & Breakfast Inns ONLINE for locations and rates. The closest to Dillon is Abingdon Manor in Latta and it's lovely. (Just take a peek at their web site!)
