Gloria Jean and Nancy Daniels

Train Victims’ Funeral Today

LATTA--Funeral services for Gloria Jean Daniels, 14, and her sister, Nancy Daniels, 13, will be held at 3pm Sunday from the Latta Baptist Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

The sisters were killed in a train-car collision Friday in Latta.

They are the daughters of Mrs Mary Lee Thigpen of Latta and Alton Daniels of Charleston. They made their home with their maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs C I “Doc” Bullock of the Dothan Community of Dillon County.

In addition to their parents, they are survived by a half-sister, Sheila Thigpen, and a half-brother, Dale Thigpen.

Gloria Jean was a member of the ninth grade and Nancy a member of the eighth grade of Latta High School. Both were members of Latta Baptist Church.
